Finite element method (FEM) sample calculation: anisotropic composites

The FEA allows by element wise mapping of complex shaped structures a detailed analysis of the component behavior under different load cases. The numerical simulation enables the investigation of various structural variations of the part and contributes to an economic fabrication and failure safe behaviour in service . A great reduction of the experimental effort for component testing is achieved.
